Saab pulled the covers off its new 9-4X small SUV, which goes on sale early in 2009 to rival the BMW X3 and new Mercedes-Benz GLK. Although officially dubbed the 9-4X Biopower Concept, GM Europe’s advanced design chief Anthony Lo promised CAR Online: 'We’re not teasing you. This is pretty much the car you’re going to get.'
Controversially, the new Saab won’t be built in Sweden, but in Mexico, where it will share a factory with the still-secret Cadillac BRX which it will closely resemble.
McLaren Managing Director, Anthony Sheriff, explains exactly what the new McLaren P1 Supercar will offer its customers. But the concept P1 does show exactly where McLaren are heading with the spiritual successor to the McLaren F1 road car of the 1990s, and it does look 95 per cent like the production car. Fiat, on something of a roll at the moment, revealed the latest version of the terrific Fiat 500 – the convertible Fiat 500C – at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month, and has now revealed prices for the UK. The Fiat 500C will be on the roads by the Summer in the UK – ahead of anywhere in Europe, including Italy – and will no doubt prove to be as successful as its tin-topped siblings. Starting point for the 500C is £11,300, rising to £14,100 for the high-spec ‘Lounge’ version.
